Whenever there is a part 2 or a season 2 of a movie or a series we are always in two minds, will it be worth it? We always feel that the second seasons don’t do the justice that they need too. But that’s not the case with ZEE5’s blockbuster Abhay. The season 2 is definitely bigger and grand.
Back in 2019 Abhay Season 1 was loved by many, and Kunal Khemu did wonders with his digital debut. The season 2 Kunal Kemmu has improvised on himself for better. Not only that, the storyline, drama, thrill and many technical elements of the show have exponentially improvised.

Abhay is crime thriller web-series produced by B.P. Singh under Fiction Factory Productions. This series is directed by Ken Ghosh. The protagonist Abhay Pratap Singh, an investigating officer with a criminal mindset. Abhay Pratap Singh is know to go to extremes limits and solve the cases in his own unique style. With the season 2 we also see Ram Kapoor and Chunkey Pandey playing as an antagonist. The plot for this season is set within the a year after the events of the first season.
We also have the likes of Bidita Bag, AsheemaVadaan, Raghav Juyal and Indraneil Sengupta starring in the season 2. Asha Negi as Sonam and Nidhi Singh as Kushboo has also created their own space in this series. The episodes of season 2 are dark, fierce and with a punch of thrill. It is definitely not for someone who can’t take the intensity. The series is pure intense drama, and worth your time.
Thanks to the team with wonderful performance makes it more lively.
The narrative of the plot is extremely well done, and the show moves smoothly from frame to frame. It is written by around 11 writers with the likes of Alka Shukla, VasparDandiwala, PushaanMukerjee, Ankana Joshi, Sushant Shukla, Shrinivas Abrol and others. They have kept the intensity intact. The flow is seamless and keeps one wanting for more.
I personally liked the way it keeps the thrill in the show, and with so many writers being part of it, you don’t find any gaps in continuity. The feel of the show is completely intact.
The frames are eye pleasing, the angles and the picturisation of the events is powerful. Hari K Vedantam is the cinematorgraher of the Abhay, and he and the team has done a brilliant job. They have kept minor things in consideration and achieved a compact setup through out the series. The continuity is intact and the overall feel of the show is mesmerising.
The run time of each episode is around 35 minutes, but it keeps you engrossed that we fairly have an idea of the time during the play time.
Music & Background Score
Ajay Singha has been the architecture of the music for Abhay, and it has lived up to its story. The intensity is glorified with apt dramatic music intervention. It blends with the events and sets up each frame and character. For a thriller, the background score plays an important role, and in this case it is on the spot.
Definitely worth your time! Go Binge watching without a doubt.
Intense stories packed with classy cinematography, decent dialogues and power packed performance by Kunal Khemu and Ram Kapoor.
Think No further and Enjoy your time.
