Fitness is one of the most important elements to be successful. I have realized it the hard way. But, the challenge of not paying attention to what we eat, or if we dedicate time to exercise can be directly blamed for lack of time in our schedule for the work we have on high priority. From a college student to a working professional, from a housewife to a girl in her early teens, everyone is busy with something or the other.
On top of lack of time, we mostly do lack information about how things in our body work. What are the optimum ways to keep our bodies healthy? Practically, it might be difficult for everyone to work with a nutritionist and fitness trainer. That is the main reason I thought of picking up books that will help me give a good idea about my body and how to keep it fit. This is when I came across the book “Upside Down Fitness” by Manisha Israni.
Manisha Israni is a very well known name when it comes to Telebrands. Her own struggle with the fitness regime led her to create solutions that were practical and doable. Not everyone can leave their daily work and devote time and energy to fitness. Knowing the struggles that Author Manisha Israni faced while coping up with exercise and nutrition, she thought to share the knowledge with the world. The result we have is in the form of the book called “Upside Down Fitness”
more about the book…
The book is practical without expecting too much from the reader. The best thing about the book is that it has a very extensive list of exercises and diet plans. There are plenty of options to choose from. Not only that the book doesn’t have jargon that common people won’t understand. The readability is good. The explanation in the book is lucid.
The highlight of the book is that the book is written considering all the common limitations that people have while practicing exercise and diet for longer period of time. It is written keeping in mind the Indian reader. The diet plan menu has ingredients that are easily available in local markets.
Overall the book is very good. It is worth reading. The cover is appealing and the edits make the reading experience smooth. I’m sure it will help all the fitness enthusiasts and add to their existing knowledge.

Upside Down Fitness
This is a practical book that one needs. It is simple to read, understand and has designed considering practical limitations for those who want to continuously pursue a healthy lifestyle. The author has done it herself, and she knows where the struggle of life-related to fitness is.
She has written the book considering the common limitations and problems people face to keep up with the fitness regime. The book is written for people who have a day to day job or professional life. It is written considering the conditions in India.
What I liked:
Very extensive combinations of exercises and diet.
Proper charting and ease of language, with a pinch of inspiration.
What could have been improved:
My personal bias could have been more pictorial in the exercises section. Though it has images for easier explanation.
The book is compact and yet covers a wide range of fitness sections in the physical, emotional and spiritual domains.
In Few Words:
A practical Fitness Book.
