Professor Mushtaque Ahamad
Test and verify” rather than “trust and verify” Prof Mustaque Ahamad, Georgia Tech Information Security Center, addressing cyber risks at 2nd Global ?Cyber Security Leaders Program organized CISO Academy, along with strategic partner IIIT-D’s Cybersecurity Education and Research Center (CERC).
Professor Ahamad who is currently serving as a chief scientist for pindrop security,which he has co-founded in 2011. He has helped in developing several major research thrusts in areas that include security of converged communication networks, identity and access management, and security of healthcare information technology. His research interests span distributed systems middleware, computer security and dependable systems. He has published over one hundred research papers in these areas.
Dr Gulshan Rai
Dr. Gulshan Rai has over 25 years of experience in different areas of Information Technology which include Cyber Security, e-Governance, Legal Framework and the Information Technology Act for e-commerce, and several related fields. At present, he is Director General, CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) and Group Coordinator of E-Security and Cyber Law Division in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Prior to this he was Executive Director, ERNET India for over 7 years and he was instrumental in setting up of the first large scale education and research network in close collaboration with the leading educational and research institutions in the country. Dr. Rai holds a doctoral degree as well as an M Tech, and his work in the area of evolving legal framework to address issues arising out of cyberspace has resulted in India’s Technology Act and recent amendments in the Act.
